About us

In a sector where isolation often stalks those who have bravely served, Veterans Connect North emerged as a beacon of hope and support.

Recognising the mental health struggles faced by military veterans and their families, this passionate charity was born from 13 years of experience helping military veterans attend a life-changing course in Cumbria to reconnect with their purpose and each other.  The founders witnessed firsthand the profound impact of community interventions – how support brought families back together, fostering a sense of belonging and healing that many thought lost forever.  They believe that after serving their country, veterans should never have to struggle alone. Yet, too many are left feeling isolated, battling self-doubt and emotional distress.  This injustice ignited a mission to forge a supportive community where veterans and their families could connect, heal, and thrive.  Through free social and well-being activities, Veterans Connect North is dedicated to transforming lives.

Some of our tribe have already experienced incredible results, finding renewed energy and confidence through collective experiences.  With 15 years of expertise in the military charity sector, they have established a strong network and proven support systems, giving veterans the tools they need to overcome their challenges.

To take the first step towards a brighter future, veterans and their families simply need to register for our free wellbeing activities, join our mailing list for resources, and engage with the community.  Each easy step leads to a stronger connection and improved mental health.

Don't let isolation win; getting support for your mental health and building community connections is vital. Join our activities today, and be part of a movement that empowers veterans to feel confident, connected, and energised as part of a supportive community.
